What we do not collect

We do not require an account. We do not ask for your name, address, payment details or banking information, and we have no way to link a calculation to an individual.

Data stored in your browser

Favourite currency pairs, recent conversions and your light or dark theme preference are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser storage removes them permanently.

Server logs

Our hosting provider processes standard technical request data — such as IP address, user agent and requested page — to serve the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are retained only as long as needed for security and reliability.

Exchange rate requests

Rates are fetched by our server, not your browser, so third-party rate providers never receive your IP address or your input amounts. See data sources.

Advertising and cookies

Advertising is not currently enabled on this deployment. When it is, ad partners may set cookies or use device identifiers to measure and personalise ads, subject to your consent where required by law, and this policy will name them.

Where consent is legally required, advertising and measurement cookies are not set until you give it, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data, and to object to it. Because we hold no account data, most requests concern server logs. Contact us via the contact page.

Children

The site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published here. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
