Questions

Frequently asked

Where do the exchange rates come from?

Rates are retrieved automatically from a third-party exchange-rate provider, validated, cached and timestamped. If the provider is unreachable we show the most recent validated rate with its timestamp — we never estimate or invent a rate.

Why is my bank's rate different?

We publish reference (mid-market) rates. Banks, card issuers, ATMs, exchange desks and transfer services add a spread and sometimes fees, so the rate you are charged is usually less favourable.

Do I need an account?

No. Every converter and calculator works without signing up. Favourites and recent tools are stored only in your own browser.

How often are rates updated?

The system refreshes on a schedule and caches results to stay fast and within provider limits. The exact retrieval time is shown next to every result.

Is this financial advice?

No. This is a calculation utility for general information. We are not a bank or a regulated financial institution.
